Writing clear button labels and messages

One word on a button can decide whether a user continues or stops.
Write a verb that describes what will happen: “Save changes” is clearer than “OK”, and “Send request” is clearer than “Next” when it is the last step.
In error messages, explain what happened and what to do next in one short sentence, and avoid blame or technical jargon.
