Choosing the right development team: questions before you sign

Choosing a development team is a decision whose effects last for years, so ask the right questions before signing.

Ask for past work similar to your project and talk to previous clients, and ask how the team handles change and unexpected problems.

Make sure steps, deliverables and ownership are clear: who owns the code and design after delivery, and what support looks like afterwards.
